The feature will also allow presenters to magnify specific slides for all meeting participants, which could be useful not only for visualization purposes, but also to help draw attention to areas or data points. particular, for example in financial results or data comparisons.

The update, which is still listed as “in development” at this time, has an expected general availability date of November 2022 and will be made available to Microsoft Teams users across the world when it launches.

It will be available for Microsoft Teams users on Desktop, Web, iOS, Mac, Android.

The launch marks the latest step in the partnership between Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint Live as the company seeks to facilitate closer ties between some of its most popular tools.

This includes the integration of Cameo and Recording Studio, two existing tools announced by Microsoft in 2021 that aimed to improve the PowerPoint experience by enabling additional customization and recording tools respectively.

Microsoft also unveiled a recording studio for PowerPoint that allows users to practice their presentations in advance. The idea is that reviewing the images will help people refine their delivery and identify areas that need improvement before moving to Microsoft Teams.

The company also recently revealed live slide translation support in PowerPoint Live, which means slides can be translated instantly during a Microsoft Teams call. Presenters and attendees can privately translate presentation content by right-clicking on the presentation, which will bring up a “Translate Slides” option.
