JR Training Services rolled out the red carpet for the first trainees in its Training Services division late last month, marking the first of its training offering program to be offered by the company.

Led by Ronnie Charters, JR Training Services welcomed 16 delegates to attend the inaugural course in partnership with G&A Wilson, offering the NEBOSH Certified Work With Wellbeing course.

The NEBOSH level qualification examines workplace well-being at an individual and organizational level. It has been designed for anyone looking to better understand workplace well-being and the factors that affect it, including human resources, health and safety, occupational health or anyone with people management responsibilities. .

Ronnie Charters has 35 years of experience in the construction industry, including roles as a health and safety advisor, trainer and assessor at the National Construction College CITB. He is currently NASC Regional Chairman for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Mr. Charters was delighted to welcome the first interns through the door, especially for such an important course topic.

He said: “Our first training course had been in the works for a long time and it was a real highlight to see it come to fruition.

“Workplace wellbeing is an incredibly hot topic across all industries right now and delegates really enjoyed getting a better understanding of what it really means and what measures can be put in place to improve workplace wellbeing and spot the signs that some of your colleagues might be in trouble.

“The session was incredibly impactful and we were delighted with the initial feedback we received. We are now looking forward to rolling out our wider program of services and training modules and look forward to growing this business and having a significant impact on the skills and confidence of our employees within the industry.

JR Training Services will now be looking to roll out its wider program in the coming months, which includes specialized CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme) courses, such as a five-day scaffolding supervisor course and a refresher course in two days. CITB accredited health and safety and site management courses and NEBOSH certified courses will also continue to be offered.
