Indian Muslims brainwashed by Pakistan’s Dawat-e-Islami, online courses glorify Pakistan, report says

The Pakistan-based Sunni organization Dawat-e-Islami is would have organize online audio lessons via Skype. These courses aim to brainwash Indian Muslims and prepare them for jihad. exclusivity investigation was conducted by India today whose journalist used a false Muslim identity to enroll in the course of the organization. “Dawat-e-Islami’s role in radicalizing Indian youth fits Pakistan’s agenda to bleed India a thousand cuts,” said Shesh Paul Vaid, former J&K DGP.

Kanhaiyalal’s murder in June this year highlighted the Dawat-e-Islami connection of his killers Riyaz Khatri and Ghous Mohammad. The defendants are reported having traveled to Karachi in 2014. The Islamist organization, however, denied its role in the murder of the Hindu tailor.

The India today investigation reveals Pakistan’s lies and says the Sunni organization is using technology as a weapon to target and enlist Indian Muslims for its jihadist agenda. He instills hatred among Indian Muslims, thus pushing his agenda. According to the report, Dawat-e-Islami responded by mail within hours when his reporter applied under the false name of Rashid Ahmed.

Following his application, a Hasin Ahmed claiming to be from the Madhya Pradesh branch of Dawat-e-Islami contacted the reporter and discussed the course fees and schedules. Classes were strictly audio-based and conducted via Skype. MTM 522 teacher Faizan Online Academy ID started sharing the course content with the undercover reporter.

The files glorified Pakistan and brainwashed Indian Muslims into contributing their power to making Pakistan the stronghold of Islam. Dawat-e-Islami, through its pre-recorded messages, called on Indian Muslims to confront the infidels (kafirs), and also to resort to violence for this cause.

“The country of Pakistan is a great blessing to us. We must help in its construction,” said the lessons. In an audio clip, a man remarked: “We want our country to become the bastion of Islam in reality. Those who gave their lives for Khuda did not die. They are very much alive. You just don’t know. People who have been killed for adhering to the way of Khuda should not even be considered dead, much less given the title of death. They are still alive. People just don’t understand that,” one of the posts read.

“Islam is based on sacrifices; we have to sacrifice our lives for the Din for it to exist. Muslims who strengthen their conscience give strength to Islam,” reads another message glorifying Qurbani (sacrifice) on behalf of Deen-e-Islam. Another message notes: “Muslims have become complacent. Sin exists everywhere. Non-Muslims have become dominant. If someone sacrifices his life, it is only for material reasons. The vision of the afterlife has eroded”.

“Dawat-e-Islami is a Pakistan-based Sunni Islamic organization that operates several Islamic educational institutions and online courses in Pakistan and many other countries. Dawat-e-Islami, which means “Invitation to Islam”, was created in 1981 by Maulana Abu Bilal Muhammad Ilyas Attari. It started out as a revivalist group influenced by Sufi beliefs, but has since morphed into an extremist Islamist group with clear links to terrorism,” reports OpIndia.

The jihadist organization has now spread its wings in several countries. It is operational in many countries including Bangladesh, Canada, Hong Kong, UK and USA. The official website of Dawat-e-Islami offers a number of online programs.

The role of organization came to the fore after the murder of Kishan Bharwad. It emerged that Maulana Usmani, who was arrested by the Gujarat ATS, was associated with Pakistan-based Dawat-e-Islami, which was raising money to brainwash young Muslims. Around 2,000 donation boxes belonging to the terrorist outfit were discovered in Ahmedabad alone.

The collected money is sent to Pakistan from where it is sent back to Bharat via Dubai using the hawala route in the name of providing Islamic education to Muslims but is actually used to brainwash them instead . Maulana Usmani, who is said to have worked with the aim of converting Bharat into an Islamic nation (Ghazwa-i-Hind), is said to lead a center of Dawat-e-Islami.

Dawat-i-Islami’s role was also highlighted in an Islamic conversion network dismantled in Nuh, Haryana last year. The organization even attempted to hold religious congregations in 2018 and 2019 in Telangana and Karnataka, which was violently opposed by Muslims themselves. It must be emphasized here that Congress had allocated land to this terrorist outfit but had to abandon the plan after opposing this decision.
