Affinity Flying Training Services adopts ENVISION from Rusada

RAF CRANWELL, UNITED KINGDOM: Affinity Flying Training Services, a key partner of the UK Military Flight Training System (UKMFTS), has launched Rusada’s ENVISION line maintenance solution.

Affinity supports the UKMFTS fixed-wing element for elementary flight training, basic flight tasks, and multi-engine training using a fleet of 42 aircraft, including Grob 120 TPs , Beechcraft T6 and Embraer Phenom 100.

Holding Part 145 and Part M certifications, Affinity operates and maintains aircraft at RAF Barkston Heath, RAF Cranwell and RAF Valley, providing approximately 21,000 hours of training per year for service trainees.

Rusada’s platform was selected in 2019 and, following a phased implementation process, Affinity is now fully operational on the system. They use five of ENVISION’s modules, including fleet management, basic maintenance and inventory management, to manage their complex airworthiness and maintenance activities.

Iain Chalmers, Managing Director of Affinity, said:

“As an aviation service provider, it is essential that we are able to deliver aircraft to our customers when they need them, every time.

“The introduction of ENVISION brings together data from multiple locations in one secure location, giving us easy access to key metrics and allowing us to strategically manage our aircraft fleets.

“It’s a first step, but we are already seeing the benefits that this new system will bring. “

Julian Stourton, CEO of Rusada, comments:

“Affinity is another example of an organization moving away from legacy systems and enjoying the benefits of a modern maintenance solution. We are delighted that they have chosen ENVISION as their solution of choice and that they are already seeing the benefits this can bring to their operations.

“Affinity is a key player in the government and military arena, and I look forward to working with them on specialist solutions for the industry in the years to come. ”
